After Business Hours, Same Day Glass Installation of Door Glass in Santa Ana, CA

This client called us at 7 pm on Saturday night and we replaced the door glass before 9:30 pm, just 2 1/2 hours later.

Someone broke their restaurant door glass. They prefer laminated safety glass for their doors because the glass holds together after breaking, as you can see in the picture of their entrance door. Laminated glass has two layers of glass with a plastic inner layer between each pane. Laminated glass costs more than tempered, but it is an excellent choice for restaurant glass because it prevents glass from spreading into the building. Laminated safety glass also slows down anyone trying to break in. For this restaurant door, we used a bit of silicone to seal the glass to the door to help the laminated glass stay in place if there is an attempted break-in. Laminated safety glass is not as strong as tempered safety glass, but it is the only safety glass that can be cut to size. Tempered glass is much stronger, but instead of holding together in the door frame, tempered glass falls out into tiny cube-like pieces.
